The proprietors outstanding in their (barley) field,

...Proclaimed Andrew upon obtaining samples from the Oyster River on Vancouver Island. Once precipitation hit the rugged mountains of Vancouver Island, British Columbia after crossing thousands of miles of the open Pacific Ocean, the untainted water filters through a rainforest untouched by man. Then flowing down from the snowy Beaufort Mountain Range, the streams carry some of the purest water in the world, replenishing the region's aquifer. What better use for this water than as the basis of Uisge beatha, the 'water of life;' Single Malt Whisky... Scotland’s gift to the world. Welcome to Shelter Point Distillery. The Distillery is taking shape! The Copper Stills and Condensers have arrived from Scotland and were installed in May, 2010. Built to exacting standards we can't wait to distill our own barley to create Vancouver Island's first single malt whisky. Take a look at our photo gallery for images of these impressive stills being carefully installed. |
